The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 18 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Monday, March 27, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.24 per 100,000 population per week, are Klaten, Karimun, Palangkaraya City, Palu City, and Ngawi, with respective values of 0.42, 0.41, 0.33, 0.24, and 0.24 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Zero districts/cities recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than previously, and one district/city recorded a lower number of Covid-19 deaths.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Karimun, Palangkaraya City, and Palu City, with respective death rates of 0.41, 0.33, and 0.24 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
