The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 133 regencies/cities with a weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 case count above the national average, currently recorded at 5.65 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Sunday, November 6, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 73.61 per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Balikpapan, and North Jakarta, with respective values of 118.64, 101.02, 87.56, 78.02, and 73.61 per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 95 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 81 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Balikpapan, Kutai Barat, and Berau, with confirmed positive cases of 78.02, 31.16, and 30.43 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
