The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 43 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.25 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Saturday, March 4, 2023).
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banjar City, Bangka Selatan Regency, Magelang City, Pulang Pisau Regency, and Kediri City, with respective values of 1.05, 0.93, 0.82, 0.77, and 0.68 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Zero districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, and three districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Bangka Selatan Regency, Pulang Pisau Regency, and Bangka Regency, with inpatient utilization rates of 0.93, 0.77, and 0.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
