The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 199 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 8.87 percent (data as of Sunday, October 30, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 40 percent are Toli Toli, Sumba Tengah, Halmahera Utara, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, and Aceh Jaya, with values of 72.41 percent, 47.62 percent, 45.24 percent, 42.86 percent, and 40 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in the daily seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 171 districts/cities, while 102 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Toli Toli, Sumba Tengah, and Halmahera Utara, with seven-day positivity rates of 72.41 percent, 47.62 percent, and 45.24 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
