The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 68 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, September 30, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 6.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Banda Aceh City, Kediri City, Mojokerto City, and Madiun City, with respective values of 9.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.73 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 14 districts/cities, while 31 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Banda Aceh City, and Palu City, with respective inpatient use rates of 9.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.28 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.42 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
