The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 3.14 percent. This average is higher than last week's 2.7 percent, based on data from Thursday, August 4, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 32.58 percent, are Fakfak, Banjarbaru City, East Manggarai, Banjar, and West Jakarta City, with values of 100 percent, 43.06 percent, 37.5 percent, 32.68 percent, and 32.58 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most regencies/cities outside Java. 73 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 36 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Banjarbaru City, and East Manggarai, with BORs of 100 percent, 43.06 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
