The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 33 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.46 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, May 25, 2022).
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 1.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong (6.25 patients per 100,000 population/week), Teluk Bintuni (2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week), Madiun City (2.24 patients per 100,000 population/week), Metro City (1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week), and Blitar City (1.38 patients per 100,000 population/week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Four regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than previously, while five regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong (6.25 patients per 100,000 population/week), Teluk Bintuni (2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week), and Metro City (1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
