The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 188 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.77 percent (data as of Tuesday, October 11, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 28.57 percent are Maluku Barat Daya (50 percent), Toli Toli (45.95 percent), Banggai Kepulauan (42.31 percent), Halmahera Utara (32.14 percent), and Kepulauan Sangihe (28.57 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 125 districts/cities, while 128 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Maluku Barat Daya (50 percent), Toli Toli (45.95 percent), and Banggai Kepulauan (42.31 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
