The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 59 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, October 9, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 6.17 patients per 100,000 population/week are Banda Aceh City, Central Jakarta City, Manado City, Toli Toli, and Madiun City, with values of 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.22 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.23 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.17 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 30 regencies/cities, while 22 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Manado City, and Toli Toli, with inpatient use of 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.23 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
