The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least two regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.07 percent. This average is higher than last week's 3.8 percent, based on data from Sunday, September 18, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 28.57 percent, are Gorontalo, East Belitung, East Manggarai, Payakumbuh City, and Balangan, with values of 100 percent, 88.89 percent, 37.5 percent, 30.83 percent, and 28.57 percent, respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside of Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 78 regencies/cities, while 64 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Gorontalo, East Belitung, and East Manggarai, with BORs of 100 percent, 88.89 percent, and 37.5 percent, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
