The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 150 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 2.04 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Friday, October 7, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 12.03 per 100,000 population/week are Kupang City, Tomohon City, Soppeng, Mimika, and Singkawang City, with values of 25.55, 14.49, 13.05, 12.62, and 12.03 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. Sixty-six districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than previously, while 86 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive rates include Kupang City, Tomohon City, and Soppeng, with confirmed positive cases of 25.55, 14.49, and 13.05 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
