The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 180 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.65 percent (data as of Friday, December 16, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 26.67 percent are Toli Toli, Sumba Tengah, Tojo Una Una, Banjarnegara, and Banggai Kepulauan, with values of 44 percent, 33.33 percent, 32.14 percent, 29.57 percent, and 26.67 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 113 districts/cities, while 162 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Toli Toli, Sumba Tengah, and Tojo Una Una, with seven-day positivity rates of 44 percent, 33.33 percent, and 32.14 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
