The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 90 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 2.23 percent as of Thursday, August 4, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with figures exceeding 20.25 percent are Ciamis, West Lombok, Metro City, Simalungun, and Pasuruan City, with values of 50 percent, 37 percent, 25.67 percent, 23.5 percent, and 20.25 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 11 regencies/cities, while 31 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing figures.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include West Lombok, Metro City, and Simalungun, with tracing rates of 37 percent, 25.67 percent, and 23.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
