The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 130 districts/cities with a weekly Covid-19 positive confirmation rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.22 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Friday, March 10, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with the highest positive confirmation rates, exceeding 2.77 per 100,000 population/week, are Mamberamo Raya (3.9 per 100,000 population/week), Mahakam Ulu (3.72 per 100,000 population/week), Tana Tidung (3.1 per 100,000 population/week), West Jakarta (2.77 per 100,000 population/week), and Bogor City (2.77 per 100,000 population/week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in positive confirmations in most districts/cities outside Java. Eleven districts/cities recorded higher daily positive confirmations than previously, while 18 districts/cities recorded lower positive confirmations.
Areas outside Java with the highest positive confirmation rates include Mamberamo Raya (3.9 per 100,000 population/week), Mahakam Ulu (3.72 per 100,000 population/week), and Tana Tidung (3.1 per 100,000 population/week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
