The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 189 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.95 percent (data as of Monday, September 5, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 26.32 percent are Tomohon City, Sitaro, Pidie Jaya, Deiyai, and Gunung Mas, with values of 40.13 percent, 37.5 percent, 37.5 percent, 33.33 percent, and 26.32 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. 139 districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while 114 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Sitaro, and Pidie Jaya, with seven-day positivity rates of 40.13 percent, 37.5 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
