The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 213 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 14.12 percent (data as of Thursday, November 17, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 56.25 percent are Mappi, Gayo Lues, Tana Tidung, Barito Timur, and Tidore Islands City, with respective values of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, 65.22 percent, 63.16 percent, and 56.25 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous period was recorded in 147 districts/cities, while 180 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Mappi, Gayo Lues, and Tana Tidung, with seven-day positivity rates of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, and 65.22 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
