The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 32 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.66 percent as of Monday, February 6, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 20 percent are Surabaya City, Semarang City, East Jakarta City, Pangandaran, and Karimun, with respective values of 28.6 percent, 22 percent, 21.35 percent, 20 percent, and 20 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing rates higher than previous days were recorded in two regencies/cities, while two others recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Karimun, Deli Serdang, and Sinjai, with tracing rates of 20 percent, 8.75 percent, and 6 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
