The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 279 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage based on KTP identity exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 59.47 percent as of Monday, October 3, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 108.84 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Sukabumi, and Tebing Tinggi City, with respective values of 123.28 percent, 119.96 percent, 115.52 percent, 108.91 percent, and 108.84 percent.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than the previous day were recorded in 0 regencies/cities, while 395 regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Tebing Tinggi City, with elderly vaccination rates of 123.28 percent, 115.52 percent, and 108.84 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
