Passports from These 10 Countries Offer the Broadest Visa-Free Access

Henley & Partners published the 2020 Henley Passport Index. The list reveals that three of the top-ranking countries are from Asia. Japan holds the top spot, as its citizens can access 191 countries visa-free.

Singapore follows Japan. This Southeast Asian nation provides visa-free access to 190 countries. South Korea ranks equally with Germany. Citizens of both South Korea and Germany can travel to 189 countries without a visa. Meanwhile, Indonesia is ranked 73rd, with visa-free access to 71 countries.

The Henley Passport Index ranks countries' passport strength based on the number of destinations accessible without a visa. The ranking is sourced from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and supplemented by research from Henley & Partners' Research Department.
