The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 31 regencies/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.42 per 100,000 population per week, are Bangli (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), Tanah Bumbu (0.49 per 100,000 population per week), Tabanan (0.44 per 100,000 population per week), Singkawang City (0.43 per 100,000 population per week), and North Hulu Sungai (0.42 per 100,000 population per week).
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java. No regencies/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Bangli (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), Tanah Bumbu (0.49 per 100,000 population per week), and Tabanan (0.44 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
