The five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.38 per 100,000 population per week, are Aceh Barat Daya (0.63 per 100,000 population per week), Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (0.5 per 100,000 population per week), Aceh Tengah (0.45 per 100,000 population per week), Malang City (0.45 per 100,000 population per week), and Pematangsiantar City (0.38 per 100,000 population per week).
National Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. Zero districts/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously, and one district/city recorded a lower death rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Aceh Barat Daya (0.63 per 100,000 population per week), Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (0.5 per 100,000 population per week), and Aceh Tengah (0.45 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
