COVID-19 Cases per Million People in the Marshall Islands Reach Highest Rate

The Marshall Islands, Macau, Brunei Darussalam, Taiwan, and Malta recorded the highest growth in total Covid-19 cases per 1 million population on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Worldometer recorded an average growth of 2.1 percent for the top five countries. This average is lower than the previous week's 11.01 percent. The highest growth this week was recorded in the Marshall Islands at 4.4 percent.

In the Marshall Islands, the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded to date is 47. The growth in cases over the past week has decreased, growing by only 80.77 percent. Thirty days ago, the addition of cases in this region was significantly higher, exceeding 161.11 percent.

Taiwan follows with a percentage of total Covid-19 cases per 1 million inhabitants of 0.7 percent. With a total of 4.05 million cases, the average daily increase in Covid-19 cases in this region over the past week was 31,860 cases. Previously, the peak increase in cases in this country occurred on Saturday, May 28, 2022, with a record of 94,796 cases per day.

Malta follows with a percentage of total Covid-19 cases per 1 million inhabitants of 0.44 percent. With a total of 108,280 cases, the average daily increase in Covid-19 cases in this region over the past week was 568 cases. Previously, the peak increase in cases in this country occurred on Thursday, March 31, 2022, with a record of 1,677 cases per day.
