The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 279 regencies/cities with elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 59.12 percent as of Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 117.13 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with respective values of 278.88 percent, 179.62 percent, 127.66 percent, 119.87 percent, and 117.13 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 283 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 278.88 percent, 179.62 percent, and 117.13 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
