The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) still holds the top spot as the most trusted institution in corruption eradication, according to a survey by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI).
Public trust in the KPK's anti-corruption efforts reached 71%, combining those who "strongly trust" and "somewhat trust."
The Attorney General's Office followed in second place with 69%, and the Courts were third with 63%.
The National Police (Polri) ranked last with 61%.
"In corruption eradication, trust (strongly + somewhat trust) in the KPK is highest (71%), while the police are lowest at 61%," LSI wrote in its report published on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
In addition to "strongly trust" and "somewhat trust," LSI also included "somewhat distrust" and "do not trust at all" categories.
The survey interviewed 1,228 respondents aged 17 and older using random digit dialing (RDD). LSI defines RDD as a technique for selecting samples randomly via telephone numbers.
Trained interviewers conducted telephone interviews with respondents between February 10-17, 2023.
The survey's margin of error is estimated at ±2.9% with a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.
