The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 128 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.88 percent (data as of Tuesday, March 28, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 33.33 percent are Purworejo, Banjarnegara, Aceh Barat, Sumba Tengah, and Buol, with values of 41.67 percent, 34.38 percent, 33.33 percent, 33.33 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 46 districts/cities, while 41 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Aceh Barat, Sumba Tengah, and Buol, with seven-day positivity rates of 33.33 percent, 33.33 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
