The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 113 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.75 percent (data as of Saturday, February 18, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 11.11 percent are Kaimana, Lamandau, Melawi, Natuna, and Labuhanbatu Selatan, with values of 25 percent, 22.22 percent, 20 percent, 12.5 percent, and 11.11 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. Eleven districts/cities recorded a higher seven-day positivity rate than the previous day, while three districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kaimana, Lamandau, and Melawi, with seven-day positivity rates of 25 percent, 22.22 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
