The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 73 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.62 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, October 23, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 8.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Toli Toli, Madiun City, Yogyakarta City, and Palu City, with respective values of 13.66 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.53 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 35 regencies/cities, while 24 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Toli Toli, Palu City, and Makassar City, with inpatient use of 9.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
