Indonesia had 2,552 commercial tourist attractions in 2020.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), there were 2,552 commercial tourism attraction companies in Indonesia in 2020.

This number is divided into six groups of tourist attractions. Man-made tourist attractions were the most numerous, totaling 1,003 companies. This was followed by natural tourist attractions with 651 companies.

Next, there were 530 water tourism companies, 236 cultural tourism companies, 92 tourism areas, and 40 amusement and recreation parks.

BPS recorded that West Java province had the most of all six types of tourist attractions, with 427 companies.

Meanwhile, North Kalimantan province had the fewest tourist attractions in Indonesia, with only 5 companies.

Based on management, 1,865 tourist attractions were managed by the private sector. Meanwhile, 556 tourist attractions were managed by local governments.

Furthermore, 72 tourist attractions were managed by Authorities and 59 by the central government.
