The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 44 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, July 22, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 7.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Bangli, Central Jakarta, Palangkaraya, South Jakarta, and North Jakarta, with respective values of 21.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.47 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.31 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.08 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. A higher than usual daily inpatient use was recorded in 22 regencies/cities, while eight regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Bangli, Palangkaraya, and Klungkung, with respective inpatient use rates of 21.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.47 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.61 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
