The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 89 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 1.82 percent as of Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 17.67 percent are Ciamis, Semarang City, Demak, Kendal, and Garut, with values of 20 percent, 18.33 percent, 18.33 percent, 18.33 percent, and 17.67 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 11 regencies/cities, while 10 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Balikpapan City, Jambi City, and Kotawaringin Barat, with tracing rates of 16.5 percent, 15.27 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
