The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 23 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.43 percent as of Saturday, March 11, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 20 percent are Surabaya City, East Jakarta City, Pasuruan City, Malang City, and West Jakarta City, with values of 25.17 percent, 20.15 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Zero regencies/cities recorded higher daily tracing rates than before, and one regency/city recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Balikpapan City, Sikka, and Kubu Raya, with tracing rates of 16 percent, 5 percent, and 3 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
