Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Elderly Vaccination Rates (Saturday, October 1, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 279 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, which is currently recorded at 60.13 percent as of Saturday, October 1, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 120.12 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Garut, and Yogyakarta City, with values of 288.26 percent, 182.3 percent, 128.25 percent, 120.16 percent, and 120.12 percent, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 132 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 288.26 percent, 182.3 percent, and 117.41 percent, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
