The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 67 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 8.41 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta City, Mojokerto City, Magelang City, Tegal City, and Madiun City, with respective values of 12.26 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.66 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.41 patients per 100,000 population/week.
National Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 46 regencies/cities, while 23 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Pakpak Bharat, Banda Aceh City, and Tomohon City, with respective inpatient use of 7.62 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.34 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
