The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least two regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.06 percent. This is an increase compared to last week's figure of 3.81 percent (data as of Thursday, October 6, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 42.86 percent, are Fakfak, Majene, Gorontalo, Tasikmalaya, and Southwest Maluku, with values of 100 percent, 69.64 percent, 57.14 percent, 45.24 percent, and 42.86 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. 71 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than the previous day, while 73 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Majene, and Gorontalo, with BORs of 100 percent, 69.64 percent, and 57.14 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
