Beyond Regular Hajj, Details of Costs for Regional Hajj Officials and KBIHU 2022 Per Embarkation Point

The Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding the Cost of Hajj Pilgrimage in 1443H/2022M, sourced from Hajj Trip Costs, Benefit Value, and Efficiency Funds, has been issued. Keppres Number 5 of 2022 was enacted on Friday, April 29, 2022.

The Presidential Decree on Hajj Pilgrimage Costs (BIPIH) was issued after the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) agreed on the amount of Hajj costs this year on April 13, 2022.

The Keppres regulates the Hajj trip costs (Bipih) for regular Hajj pilgrims, as well as Regional Hajj Officers (PHD), and Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group Supervisors (KBIHU). The Hajj costs for PHD and KBIHU supervisors range from Rp77.52 million to Rp84.55 million.

The following are the Hajj costs for PHD and KBIHU by embarkation point in 1443H/2022M:

* Makassar: Rp84.55 million
* Surabaya: Rp84.45 million
* Lombok: Rp83.51 million
* Balikpapan: Rp83.22 million
* Banjarmasin: Rp83.09 million
* Solo: Rp82.12 million
* Jakarta (Pondok Gede): Rp81.75 million
* Jakarta (Bekasi): Rp81.75 million
* Palembang: Rp81.67 million
* Batam: Rp81.55 million
* Padang: Rp79.27 million
* Medan: Rp78.25 million
* Aceh: Rp77.52 million

Following the issuance of the BPIH Keppres, the next step is confirmation of departure by deferred Hajj pilgrims entitled to depart this year. This also includes the payment of Bipih for deferred Hajj pilgrims who have withdrawn their payment and are entitled to depart this year.

“Both departure confirmation and payment are still awaiting the issuance of the Minister of Religious Affairs’ Decree or KMA. We hope this stage can begin on May 9, 2022,” said Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization Hilman Latief, as reported by the haji.kemenag.go.id portal on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Previously, the government and the DPR agreed to set the Hajj trip cost (Bipih) for regular Hajj at Rp39.89 million per pilgrim for the 1443H/2022M Hajj season.

Therefore, the total Cost of Hajj Pilgrimage (BPIH) per pilgrim is as follows:

* Bipih: Rp39.89 million
* Health protocol costs: Rp808,620
* Costs sourced from Hajj financial benefits: Rp41.05 million
* Total: Rp81.75 million
