The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that there are 30 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.67 percent as of Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 17.63 percent are Tasikmalaya, Malang City, Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, and Gresik, with values of 22 percent, 21 percent, 17.63 percent, 17.63 percent, and 17.63 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in two regencies/cities, while two other regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Deli Serdang, Balikpapan City, and Makassar City, with tracing rates of 16 percent, 15 percent, and 4.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
