A higher than previous daily number of confirmed positive cases was recorded in 16 regencies/cities, while 16 others recorded lower numbers.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Morowali, South Bangka, and Central Mamberamo, with confirmed positive cases of 3.89, 1.86, and 1.78 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
