The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 188 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 5.08 percent (data as of Tuesday, September 6, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 28.57 percent are Pidie Jaya, Tomohon City, Deiyai, North Minahasa, and Gunung Mas, with values of 44.44 percent, 35.8 percent, 33.33 percent, 29.27 percent, and 28.57 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 134 districts/cities, while 134 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Pidie Jaya, Tomohon City, and Deiyai, with seven-day positivity rates of 44.44 percent, 35.8 percent, and 33.33 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
