Kediri Regency residents spend Rp55.38 per capita per week on palm sugar (aren sugar).

In Kediri Regency in 2023, per capita weekly household expenditure on palm sugar was Rp55.38. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp81.71 per capita per week.

The five largest household expenditure items for beverages in Kediri Regency, in descending order, were: granulated sugar (Rp2232.6 per capita per week), seeds (Rp1,271.47 per capita per week), instant coffee (sachet) (Rp867.2 per capita per week), tea bags (sachet) (Rp309.41 per capita per week), and the lowest was palm sugar (Rp55.38 per capita per week).

Per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, divided by the number of household members. This expenditure can be categorized into two parts: food and non-food.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food expenditure is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) publications, the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.17 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 8.24% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.08 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest household expenditure on palm sugar was in Sabu Raijua Regency, and the lowest was in Sampang Regency. Kediri Regency ranked 368th in terms of palm sugar expenditure. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure on palm sugar is Rp248 per capita per week.
