The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 144 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.15 percent (data as of Sunday, February 5, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 13.79 percent are Kepulauan Aru (20 percent), Melawi (16.67 percent), Sumba Tengah (16.67 percent), Toli Toli (16 percent), and Sumba Timur (13.79 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 39 districts/cities, while 90 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kepulauan Aru (20 percent), Melawi (16.67 percent), and Sumba Tengah (16.67 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
