The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 129 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.88 percent as of Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 24.17 percent are Surabaya City, West Lombok, Metro City, Semarang City, and Tasikmalaya, with respective values of 30 percent, 26.43 percent, 25.2 percent, 24.33 percent, and 24.17 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily tracing rate higher than previous days was recorded in 37 regencies/cities, while 37 other regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok, Metro City, and Simalungun, with tracing rates of 26.43 percent, 25.2 percent, and 24 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
