The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 176 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.92 percent (data as of Friday, October 7, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 33.33 percent are Banggai Laut, Banggai Kepulauan, Toli Toli, Minahasa Selatan, and Nagan Raya, with values of 54.55 percent, 54.17 percent, 38.1 percent, 33.33 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 132 districts/cities, while 136 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Laut, Banggai Kepulauan, and Toli Toli, with seven-day positivity rates of 54.55 percent, 54.17 percent, and 38.1 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
