Today, Thursday, October 14, 2021, Indonesia recorded 19,852 active Covid-19 cases. This is the lowest number reported in the last 15 months.
Further good news today also comes from the Ministry of Health's release. Daily Covid-19 data shows that Bengkulu is the only province that did not record an increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases.
Previously, on July 24, Covid-19 cases had reached their peak with 574,000 active cases. All regions in Indonesia reported very high infection rates with a high positive rate. The number of deaths due to Covid-19 was reported to reach 1,000 people per day.
Three months after the implementation of the Community Activity Restriction Policy (PPKM), the number of active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has now decreased drastically.
The total increase from the top 10 provinces only reached 725 people (69%). The remaining increase in cases in the other 24 provinces was recorded at 328 people (31%).
Today, 19 provinces recorded a decrease in cases and 13 other provinces reported an increase. However, overall, the daily increase in Covid-19 today is also at its lowest point with only 1,053 new cases.
