The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 113 regencies/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.11 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, December 2, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 1.76 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Karangasem (2.37 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Central Buton (2.14 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Jembrana (1.76 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. However, 11 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than previously, while 11 others recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Karangasem (2.37 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Central Buton (2.14 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
