The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 119 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.9 percent (data as of Sunday, March 12, 2023).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 14.29 percent are Mamberamo Raya (50 percent), Halmahera Timur (20 percent), Kepulauan Selayar (20 percent), Kepahiang (16.67 percent), and Tana Tidung (14.29 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 38 regencies/cities, while 22 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Mamberamo Raya (50 percent), Halmahera Timur (20 percent), and Kepulauan Selayar (20 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
