The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 183 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.65 percent (data as of Monday, September 19, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 31.25 percent are Banggai Kepulauan (57.14 percent), Sijunjung (52 percent), Pasaman (40 percent), Lamandau (36.84 percent), and Toli Toli (31.25 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside of Java. An increase in the daily seven-day positivity rate compared to the previous day was recorded in 139 districts/cities, while 114 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Kepulauan (57.14 percent), Sijunjung (52 percent), and Pasaman (40 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
