Singapore and Japan were the most popular year-end travel destinations for Indonesians in 2022, according to a Kurious survey by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC). Each destination received 19.2% of the responses.
Female respondents tended to choose Singapore as their year-end travel destination (80%). Conversely, 80% of male respondents chose Japan.
The next most popular year-end destinations were Malaysia, South Korea, and Turkey, each with 15.4% of the responses. Furthermore, 11.5% of respondents chose Europe.
Australia and the United States also made the list of favorite year-end destinations, each with 7.7%. This was followed by Hong Kong with 3.8%, and other destinations with 11.5%.
The remaining 3.8% of respondents answered "don't know" or did not answer.
This survey was conducted from November 9-11 via web interviews. 759 Indonesian respondents participated, with a margin of error of 3.6% and a 95% confidence level.
