The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 112 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 11.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Magelang City, Madiun City, Tana Tidung, and Palangkaraya City, with respective values of 15.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14.76 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14.58 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 11.16 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 38 regencies/cities, while 55 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Tana Tidung, Palangkaraya City, and Sorong, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 13.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.37 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
