Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Elderly Vaccination Rates (Thursday, May 26, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 272 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 57.12 percent as of Thursday, May 26, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 116.45 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with values of 271.07 percent, 174.76 percent, 127.21 percent, 119.12 percent, and 116.45 percent, respectively.

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 240 regencies/cities, while 87 regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 271.07 percent, 174.76 percent, and 116.45 percent, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
