The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 124 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 3.13 percent as of Sunday, August 28, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest tracing rates, exceeding 20.33 percent, are Metro City (25.67 percent), Simalungun (24.43 percent), Pasuruan (22.2 percent), Cianjur (20.33 percent), and Ciamis (20.33 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher-than-previous daily tracing rate was recorded in nine districts/cities, while 25 districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Metro City (25.67 percent), Simalungun (24.43 percent), and Binjai City (18.5 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
